The Kitbliss Podcast

For those of you that have been downloading and listening to The Kitbliss Podcast, I’m afraid I have some bad news.

It’s with much regret that I've decided to temporarily postpone the production of The Kitbliss Podcast for the foreseeable future. I hope it will return in much the same form at some point, but for now I've decided to record no further episodes.

It’s not easy putting together a podcast with friends that are on the other side of the world. The time difference means we’re all recording at an unsociable hour of the day, be it a little too early or perhaps too late to be ideal. There’s also the reliance on strong, reliable audio and visual facilities which, understandably, tend to struggle with the information going back and forth between the UK and New Zealand. When those systems fail, it means more time fixing any issues at the editing stage.

For me, unfortunately, I’ve also had to contend with fluctuations in my mental and physical health for some time and this has particularly affected my ability to research, plan and produce each episode with considerable speed and efficiency.

When all these reasons are combined along with many other minor factors too slight to mention, you find yourself struggling to put together what seems to be a simple podcast on a monthly basis. Alas, that struggle has become too much for me in recent weeks.

In light of this, I’ve taken the decision to rest the podcast for the time being. My hope is that some time away from the project will bring about a new way of doing things that has less impact on the time and effort we all put in to make it happen.

Until then, I’d like to thank you all for your support of The Kitbliss Podcast thus far and to extend my apologies for any inconvenience this hiatus may cause. I’m very proud of the three-dozen or more podcasts we’ve produced since 2018 and all being well, I hope to record more of them with Jay, John and Rich whenever I’m next able to do so.

Best wishes... Chris.
