The Kitbliss Podcast
Episode 28 (Part 1): End of 2019-20 Kit News Update
Published: 6 August 2020. Special guests: John Devlin (TrueColoursFootballKits.com), Rich Johnson (TheFootballAttic.com) and Jay (DesignFootball.com). Duration: 2h 00m.
The 'Part 1' bit of the title is important because our latest podcast was a mammoth recording of nearly four hours, so we decided to split this episode into two.
And what caused us to talk for so long? Put simply, the welter of new kit releases for the 2020-21 season. There were so many that we had to devote an entire podcast to the subject, but we didn't realise it would go on quite as long as it did.
In this first part, we look at the new releases for teams in the Premier League, Championship and League One in England and Wales. Be it Tottenham, Derby or Bristol Rovers, we give our assessment of what's hot and what's not with our usual distinctive take on things...
Rich talks pants! (and not for the first time...) Jay creates the perfect segway! (because the original production company have stopped making them...) Chris invents a new colour! (kind of...) and John discusses Normcore! (which might be the most boring musical genre ever...)
Yes, we've packed a lot into this first two hours and there's more to come in Part 2 (which will be with you in the next couple of days). In the meantime, you can save yourself a lot of Googling by checking out our crib sheet which provides a pictorial shortcut to all the main kits we discuss throughout. Don't say we never do anything for you...
