Everton's kit history charts a long journey from their earliest days as St Domingo's, when players wore a mix of colours before the club standardised on black shirts with a crimson sash — earning the nickname "The Black Watch" — and eventually settled on the royal blue shirts that became their defining identity from 1901 onward.
